In July our ISO 9001:2008 Certification has been extended after an external audit by Moody International.

The Drag-Box is a custom designed shoring system for special project requirements. Workers are protected by the box' walls against the dangers of the trench collapsing.

The Drag Box is a custom designed shoring system for special project requirements. A Drag Box is lowered into a pre-excavated trench and pulled horizontally by a large hydraulic excavator. Workers are protected by the box walls against the dangers of the trench collapsing. Back filling of the trench takes place behind the box. Typical applications are cross country pipelines in depths up to 16.5' / 5.0m and with pipe diameters of maximum 9.9' / 3.0m. Depending on the pipe length the Drag Box can be up to 26.4' / 8.0m long.The width of the box can be extended by adding flanged extension bars.

Employees of our customer in Sri Lanka are busy with the construction of a pipe line of over 50 km. Sunday morning, 31 October, the bomb was detonated on industry grounds, named Trade Port North. The American 500-ponder from the Second world War was found earlier this month on the barrack grounds in Blerick. The Dutch Bomb Squad, the “Explosieven Opruimings Dienst (EOD)”, began Sunday at 8 o'clock with the disassembling. During the demontage, the inhabitants of seventeen houses in the neighborhood had to remain in. Also the cities bridge, the track bridge and a part of the Meuse had been closed for all traffic.

The bomb, which was found on a barracks grounds in Blerick last week, was disarmed Sunday morning by the Dutch Bomb Squad (The Explosievenopruimingsdienst, EOD), using Trench Shoring systems from EURO VERBAU. The EOD began at 08.00 with the disassembling of the American 500-pounder. Around 09.30 it was all safe again. For extra protection a construction of containers had been placed over the bomb on the Frederik Hendrik barrack grounds.
